Farewell to The Dandelion Micro-Fiction Contest
HELLO to The Magical Storybook!
Once Upon a Time, the author and illustrator of an award-winning children’s book called Delivering Dreams imagined an even grander project. A book that would come to include all of her favorite paintings over the years. And it would be illustrated by stories whose authors saw the same magic in them as she did.
And so, the Dandelion Press Micro-Fiction contest was born. Giving birth to a magical storybook was the original intention. But so much more evolved along the way. The contest, over a five-year span, became a means of celebrating imagination, creativity, and a very special community of contributors. From leading lights in their nineties to precocious three-year olds, from writers around the world, the stories poured in.
Now, some six years later, the Micro-Fiction Contest winning stories are about to find their home in the enchanted pages of The Magical Storybook! Please stay tuned, we’ll be posting sneak previews all along the way....
